HSE Manager 2

Rosendin is a leading electrical contractor founded over 100 years ago and is employee‑owned. The HSE Manager II is an entry‑level leadership role that supports the implementation and oversight of health, safety, and environmental practices across multiple project sites.

• Plan and assign work for the safety team.
• Monitor progress and performance of the team and safety programs, taking corrective action as necessary.
• Teach, coach, and develop direct reports and wider safety team members.
• Identify, document, and recommend corrective actions for hazardous conditions and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in pre‑construction meetings and develop site‑specific safety plans.
• Identify team and site personnel training needs and coordinate/deliver safety training.
• Lead injury and incident investigations; conduct analysis and share lessons learned.
• Lead pre‑task planning and job‑site safety meetings.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure understanding and compliance with REI safety standards.
• Coordinate with field leadership to identify training needs and high‑risk activities and ensure compliance with Project Safety Plans.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO procedures and first‑time energization protocols.
• Review Step‑by‑Step and Method of Procedures (MOPs).
• Issue and monitor permits as required.
• Interpret project one‑line diagrams and apply NFPA 70E guidelines, including PPE and approach distances.
• Maintain expert knowledge of company HSE standards, programs, and goals.
• Compile and analyze safety data; prepare reports in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct emergency planning as needed.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.; Oracle preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and manage team members.
• Ability to manage and de‑escalate difficult conversations.
• Professional interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and supporting administrative and performance‑management practices.
• Excellent time‑management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent prioritization and ability to manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.

• 4‑year related degree and 6 years related experience plus CHST certification, or 9 years relevant experience and CHST.
• Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
• Work conditions: primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
