• Employed position
• Opportunity includes taking some trauma or acute call and building an elective practice
• NWTHS is a Level II trauma center and also has a contract trauma/SCC group
• Elective GS practice can potentially include subspecialty interests
• Large, unsaturated geographic and population catchment of ~ 450,000 in Texas Panhandle and border states

• Support the NWTHS mission of delivering high quality, compassionate care to Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle region
• Diagnose, treat, and surgically manage wide range of diseases and conditions
• Perform common and full scope of general surgical procedures

• BC/BE Surgery required
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited surgical residency required
• Active, clear Texas license and DEA or ability to obtain
• Clean professional background
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate bedside manner
