Position Description
Develop and redesign instructional materials and products using technology based resources for online courses. Assist faculty in learning about becoming proficient in and applying instructional technology.
Major / Essential FunctionsThis position is open to candidates in Abilene, Amarillo, Dallas or Lubbock.
- Assist faculty at TTUHSC School of Pharmacy with learning management system functionality and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Work with faculty to develop and produce video and other digital media content for course materials.
- Assist technology team with course creation and maintenance within learning management environment.
- Develop and implement project timelines and ensure goals and objectives are met.
- Work with Office of Technology staff to assist in development of training materials to be distributed to faculty and staff.
- Work with/assist faculty or faculty teams on both Pioneer Pathway and traditional paths to develop materials and new functionalities in course design and development.
- Maintain training information on the learning management system and any other location the training information needs to be updated.
- Professional communication skills, Microsoft Office, Learning Management System (for example D2L and Sakai).
- Use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements when creating and evaluating content.
- Perform other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the School of Pharmacy.
Bachelor's degree plus one year of related experience; or a combination of education and/or related experience to equal five years.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in digital media development for online learners.
- Experience in learning management system building and infrastructure.
- Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Online Learning.
- General knowledge of the Texas State Education Code; the rules, regulations and principles of the THECB and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, as well as other state and federal laws and regulations regarding curriculum development; academic, career and technical programs; developmental education; student learning outcomes; and assessment of student learning outcomes.
