Summary

This position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of the Maintenance Training Program.
Key responsibilities include preparing and organizing training materials, manuals, and systems; delivering instruction in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and other maintenance-related topics; maintaining training aids, student records, and class schedules; conducting orientation for new maintenance team members; collaborating with vendors on training content and delivery; coordinating and leading safety training initiatives within the department; administering and evaluating hands‑on training requirements; verifying lockout/tagout procedures;

managing specific training books, fit testing, hazmat training, and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance experience; must have completed Level 8 in the Tyson Foods Maintenance Training Program.
  • 2+ years of supervisory, lead, or management experience.
  • Electrical background required; prior experience within a maintenance training department preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Tyson SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) systems preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of plant personnel.
  • Certifications related to training, maintenance, or safety practices are a plus.
  • Ability to travel 1–5 times per year as business needs arise.
  • Demonstrated strong safety awareness, consistent attendance record, and proven leadership and management capabilities.
