Job DescriptionPRIMARY
PURPOSE:
Ensure all students receive high-quality math and literacy instruction by managing the district-wide implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) and supporting campus leaders through robust coaching cycles, observation-based feedback, and systems development.
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university;
Valid Texas teaching certificate. - Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Knowledge in instructional leadership, coaching and the observation feedback cycle;
Designing and delivering professional learning aligned to HQIM and research-based instructional strategies (RBIS);
Knowledge of Bluebonnet Learning K-5 in math and literacy;
Experience facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on unit and lesson internalization, instructional rigor, student work analysis, and action step implementation. - Minimum Experience: 5 years classroom teacher experience; 3 years instructional leadership experience; 3 years experience developing and delivering training programs to adult learners.
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.
Posture: Prolonged sitting; standing, walking, occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including prolonged keyboarding & use of mouse; occasional reaching.
Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds).
Environment: Work with frequent interruptions;
Must maintain professional demeanor under stress; must have problem solving skills; occasional irregular hours.
Travel: Frequent in district travel, occasional out of district travel.
Regular attendance is an essential function.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- Lead instructional Leadership Teams (ILT) through job-embedded coaching cycles, including observation, feedback, modeling, and follow-up support aligned to HQIM and RBIS indicators.
- Facilitate unit and lesson internalization protocols to ensure deep understanding of the HQIM.
- Lead Analysis of Student Work (ASW) protocols to drive instructional adjustments.
- Analyze and interpret data to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness.
- Assist campus leadership in identifying trends and instructional priorities tied to HQIM and RBIS.
- Plan and deliver professional learning for campus leaders and teachers.
- Model effective instructional delivery using HQIM and RBIS.
- Actively support the efforts of campus leaders to achieve district and campus goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with principals, teachers, staff, parents, and community members.
- Facilitate the development of campus reports related to compliance progress on the LIFT grant.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required per the LIFT grant.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
