A bit about usOur client is a rapidly scaling energy infrastructure developer building next-generation natural gas–powered generation assets in the United States. The organization is executing a flagship greenfield power project designed to deliver large-scale, reliable generation capacity to the grid at accelerated speed. The company has recently secured and taken delivery of six highly sought-after industrial gas turbine units representing more than 300 megawatts of generation capacity in the current phase alone.
These assets are among the most coveted in the global power market and position the organization to move decisively while others remain constrained by long equipment lead times.
With hundreds of heavy-haul shipments supporting the build and major mechanical and electrical scopes underway, this is a high-visibility, fast-moving infrastructure project with executive-level priority.

Job DetailsThe Project Manager will have full lifecycle responsibility for a major natural gas–powered generation project in Amarillo, TX. This leader will oversee mechanical, electrical, and balance-of-plant scopes, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of turbine installation and plant completion. This role requires deep experience in utility-scale power generation projects—ideally involving gas turbines, combined-cycle plants, or large industrial energy facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Full Project Ownership:
Lead all phases of project execution: site development, equipment staging, mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, and turnover. - Serve as the central point of accountability for schedule, cost, safety, and quality.
- Develop and maintain detailed master project schedules and critical path tracking.
- Coordinate receipt, inspection, and staging of six industrial gas turbine units.
- Oversee heavy-haul logistics planning and site delivery sequencing.
- Lead turbine setting, alignment, mechanical installation, and auxiliary system integration.
- Ensure compliance with OEM installation requirements and commissioning standards.
- Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors across:
- Turbine installation
- Gas compression and fuel systems
- Electrical switchyard and interconnection
- High-voltage systems
- Control systems and instrumentation
- Review engineering drawings, change orders, and construction packages.
- Resolve field conflicts quickly and decisively.
- Maintain a strong onsite presence and direct oversight of daily construction activity.
- Lead site meetings, progress reviews, and safety briefings.
- Enforce rigorous safety standards and compliance protocols.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
