Position Summary The Engineer at Sage Oil Vac plays a key role in developing, improving, and supporting innovative fluid handling equipment used across demanding industrial environments. This is an entry to mid-level position ideal for a motivated engineer who wants hands-on experience, real ownership of designs, and the opportunity to grow into deeper technical and regulatory responsibility. • Product Design & Development
  • Design and improve new and existing products using 3D CAD software (preferably Solid Works)
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, design inputs, and documentation for production
  • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or improve manufacturability
• Prototyping, Testing & Improvement
  • Support prototype builds and testing activities
  • Analyze test results, field feedback, and production input to drive design improvements
  • Apply creativity and resourcefulness to solve technical and manufacturing challenges
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and other teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and production-ready
  • Provide technical support during production and product rollout
• Documentation & Systems
  • Create and maintain BOMs, routers, and related data in the company’s MRP/ERP system
  • Maintain organized engineering documentation and design records

Required Qualifications

• Experience using CAD software (Solid Works strongly preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter mentality — takes initiative and ownership
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Desire to learn, improve, and grow technically and professionally
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Sheet metal design experience
• DC electrical knowledge
• Exposure to regulatory standards such as UL, ASME, DOT, or FMVSS
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials
