Travel & Work Authorization

Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles. Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates. Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes.
Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
- Field engineer supporting project execution on two 5 single-cycle combustion projects located in Seminole, TX and Hobbs, NM
- Manage and support RFI (Request for Information) transmittal/submittal process, open engineering task tracking, and commissioning and startup activities
- Interface with EPC contractor (Kiewit) with no direct people management responsibility
- Interface with equipment vendor (Siemens – combustion turbines)
- Act as a client-facing representative with vendors and contractors
- Learn project scope and structure during first month ramp-up
- Review drawings and documentation during first month ramp-up
- Understand RFI processes and schedule during first month ramp-up
- Get familiar with team and stakeholders during first month ramp-up
- Experience with EPC design process
- Experience with RFI submittals
- Team player with initiative and problem-solving ability
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with Siemens combustion turbines
- Experience with Kiewit projects
- Experience with SharePoint / EPC contractor systems
- Experience with InEight Team Binder
- Experience with contract/document management
- 2–3 years of experience in power generation / utilities, EPC project environments, or major utility companies
Physical Requirements
- Field-based role
- Required PPE: steel-toe boots (reimbursable if needed) and high-visibility vest
- Initial onboarding: first few weeks in Amarillo, TX; transition to project sites afterward (no return to Amarillo required)
