  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
  • 5 years of experience in design, construction and commissioning of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and mechanical distribution systems, including air and water side systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time as required.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or other relevant fields, or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • 5 years of experience with mission critical facilities and data centers (multi-tenant facilities or build-to-suit single tenant facilities) in design or construction with project/engineering management.
  • Experience working with data center equipment and environments (e.g., switch gear, generators, transformers, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems).
  • Understanding of start up/commissioning processes.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the implementation and operational support of Google’s rapidly expanding data centers. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of complex Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and mechanical distribution systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, swiftly, and with high quality. Your role involves managing site-level mechanical engineering issues, ensuring compliance with design standards and local regulations, supporting quality assurance, and providing technical guidance to vendor teams.

You will use your strong communication and collaboration skills who grow on construction sites and has experience with complex mechanical systems, ideally within mission-critical facilities, heavy industrial, oil and gas, or semiconductor industries.
