Position: Senior Project Control Scheduler - Primoris Energy Services - Amarillo, TX.

Job Overview

As a Senior Project Control Scheduler at Primoris Energy Services in Amarillo, TX, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for complex energy infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget by providing accurate and timely schedule information to project teams and management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for large-scale energy construction projects, including gas pipelines, power generation, and renewable energy facilities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to gather project scope, work breakdown structures, and resource requirements.
  • Perform critical path analysis, identify potential schedule risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, identify deviations, and provide regular status updates and forecasts.
  • Prepare and present detailed schedule reports, including S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and variance analyses, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings and incorporate feedback from project teams.
  • Support the development of project control procedures and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of change orders and claims related to schedule impacts.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior schedulers and project control personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project scheduling and controls, preferably within the energy, oil & gas, or heavy civil construction industries.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software (versions 15.2 or higher preferred).
  • Strong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM) and earned value management (EVM) principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing complex schedules for multi-million dollar projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of project personnel and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • PMP or PMI-SP certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
