Reliability Engineer Intern

Provide reliability engineering support to Harrington and Nichols Stations
Work closely with engineers at each facility to develop engineering skills supporting reliable operation and maintenance of power plant equipment
Support overhaul planning
Support capital projects
Troubleshoot power plant equipment
Work with contractors onsite and offsite
Assist with SAP work order creation
Prepare paperwork such as one-pagers requesting funding for Emergent capital projects
Pull and update drawings using Projectwise software
Support Emergent Project Funding
Source and order materials
Enter new planned capital projects
Attend safety meetings
Work with plant crews
Provide unit overhaul support

• Current student, Sophomore or higher (as of Fall 2027)
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university
• Pursuing a degree in any Engineering major
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)
• Able to work part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week)
• Able to commute to the designated work location in-person, per the hybrid work policy
• Technical writing course preferred
• Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering majors preferred

Demonstrates reliability engineering support and effective collaboration with engineering teams to enhance the operation and maintenance of power plant equipment. Proficient in technical writing and project management, with a focus on safety and efficient resource allocation.
