Controller – Manufacturing & Assembly

Seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations across multiple sites for a growing manufacturing and assembly company in the Amarillo area. The role reports to the Director of Finance and offers substantial impact on business performance.

• Lead all accounting operations: general ledger, financial reporting, and month‑end close
• Drive cost accounting: standard costing, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives
• Partner with plant leadership to analyze performance, margins, and operational efficiencies
• Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and internal controls
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning
• Evaluate capital expenditures and support strategic decision‑making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Optimize ERP systems and improve financial processes across multiple sites
• Build, mentor, and lead an accounting team across locations

• 10+ years progressive accounting/finance experience
• Strong background in manufacturing finance and cost accounting
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capabilities
• Experience working within ERP systems
• Ability to partner with operations and influence business decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)
