Teller, Finance & Banking

Position: Teller I
Job Summary:

Responsible for completing financial transactions, as well as educating and referring customers to the Banks products and services.

Education/

Experience:

A minimum of the following education/experience is required:

A High School Diploma/GED; equivalent experience: 1 year of experience is equal to 1 year of education.

A minimum of 1 years experience in banking and/or cash handling related field is required.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Accepts deposits, verifies cash, cashes checks.

Processes cash withdrawals, collection items, cash advances, transfer of funds requests, and stop payment orders.

Accepts payments for loans.

Balances and services ATM as needed.

Completes Currency Transaction Reports.

Balances coin machine.

Orders cash and currency.

Process customer check orders.

Redeems savings bonds.

Promotes the bank's products and services; consistently cross-sells bank products at every opportunity.

Balances drawer daily.

May be responsible for bank opening/closing.

Answers customer questions and attempts to resolve customer problems.

Follows teller policy.

Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers and potential customers.

Other duties as assigned.
