- Lovelace Medical Center (LMC), in the heart of Albuquerque, is an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around‑the‑clock emergency care, surgical services, non‑invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services. LMC recently acquired New Mexico’s first Intuitive da Vinci 5® surgical system, demonstrating its commitment to the most advanced technology available in minimally invasive surgery. LMC has 263 licensed beds.
- Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital includes state‑of‑the‑art rehabilitation services for patients recovering from healthcare conditions. It is the only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
- Directs and administers strategic, operational, fiscal, and personnel activities for the Therapy Services, supporting a single or multiple facilities, both inpatient and/or outpatient services.
- Designs and implements new programs and services.
- Engages in business development activities; seeks opportunities to increase outcomes and services delivered.
- Prepares and manages budgets, manages/supervises staff, and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations.
- Maintains all regulatory requirements as appropriate for the development and implementation of policy, procedures, and security protocols for pharmacy drugs and supplies.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Physical or Occupational Therapy; or Master’s in Speech Therapy.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be able to uphold and communicate principles of rehabilitation services to all levels within and outside the hospital system.
- Five (5) years progressively more responsible therapy services experience.
- Three (3) or more years of progressively more responsible management experience leading therapy programs.
- Multi‑facility experience desired.
- Acute care, rehab, and outpatient experience desired.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a program.
- Knowledge of TJC and/or CARF requirements.
- Current NM License in Physical or Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
Preferred
Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in a related field.
