Job DescriptionResponsibilities
- The Director is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of multiple nursing units. Such responsibilities encompass the internal processes of the Department and integration of the units into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. The Director supports an organizational culture for safety and Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards to all customer groups.
- Demonstrates leadership in the provision of services through a collaborative process designed to integrate services/functions throughout NWTHS. Participates in and supports a process to measure, assess, and improve performance of management, clinical, and/or support services.
- Maintain accountability for overall processes affecting unit functioning by demonstrating improvement in at least one process or outcome annually with supportive documentation.
- Maintains regulatory compliance as related to The Joint Commission, Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Board of Nursing.
- Assures implementation and evaluation of new and/or enhanced services.

- Education, Training, Experience And Licenses/Registrations Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.
- BSN required.
- Masters degree in Nursing or relevant field within five years of accepting position.
- Appropriate clinical experience.
- 3 - 5 years leadership experience
