Description:
This unit involves a mixture of medical-surgical and intermediate care patients.
The nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on patient assignments each shift.
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system is preferred.
Travel experience is not required.
Charge experience of 1 year preferred.
The unit supports a variety of patient diagnoses and provides interdisciplinary support.
Daily census averages around 12 patients.
Nursing skills in med-surg, telemetry, IV management, and wound care are essential.
A comprehensive understanding of oxygen administration, isolation precautions, and dysrhythmia interpretation is required.
Candidates should have experience with complex patient care, including post-operative management for various conditions.
The unit promotes teamwork among nursing staff and support services.
Availability for weekend coverage is necessary.
