Responsibilities
- Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
- Interview patients and take vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Perform venipuncture and other procedures within the scope of practice in the state, as directed by the physician.
- Document patient information and care in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guidelines.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examination.
- Assist in covering the front desk as required.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certificate required or must obtain certification within six (6) months of employment.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Familiarity with medical terminology required.
- Experience with patient check‑in and check‑out processes according to clinic protocol.
- General medical office procedures knowledge.
- Understanding of end‑of‑day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process according to clinic protocol.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Must perform courteously and professionally in all interactions.
