Overview

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides services under the general supervision of the Occupational Therapist, including assisting with patient assessment, treating individual patients and patient groups; delivering home program, patient and family instructions; participating in family and team conferences; conducting equipment inventory, maintenance, and orders; and documenting services according to departmental and hospital standards.

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program, certification by AOTA.
• Must hold a current state license and maintain license renewal in accordance with the State Board of Medical Examiners or State Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Long term acute care and rehabilitation experience is preferred.
• Maintains current CPR.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills with minimal guidance.
• CPR Certification.
