** Monday–Thursday, 40‐hour work week; must be able to work after‐hours as needed.
** SALARY:** $20.50 per hour
** SUMMARY
* * Under general supervision of the Program Manager, this position works with families and healthcare providers of Potter and Randall Counties. Responsibilities include providing vaccine information, assisting health care providers, and other clinic duties.

This position is supported by grant funding. Employment is contingent upon the availability and continuation of grant funds and may be subject to modification or termination based on funding status.
** ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Assists, as needed, with the implementation activities of the program work plan.
* Assists, as needed, in providing immunizations via the mobile unit and the clinic’s fixed location.
* Maintains appropriate patient documentation.
* Provides information to clients, families, and providers on the purpose of ImmTrac2 and the importance of maintaining complete immunization histories in the registry.
* Educates clients and families on public health immunization services.
* Conducts health fairs for providers, schools, and other community groups.
* Conducts fieldwork and outreach, as needed.
* Assists with vaccine management.
* Performs clerical duties, including data entry, managing the file storage system, and making copies of forms for clients.
* Assists health care providers across Potter and Randall counties who participate in the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program.
* Facilitates the Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program (PHBPP) per guidelines.
* Documents any technical assistance, follow-up compliance visits, or unannounced visits for TVFC & ImmTrac2, as required.
* Assists in registering and checking out patients as needed.
* Participates in public health preparedness responses.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
** Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six months of experience. Bilingual preferred. Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
*** Knowledge of the Public Health ten essential functions.
* Knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy Act.
* Knowledge of vaccine schedule for children and adults.
* Knowledge of Texas Vaccines for Children, Adult Safety Network, and PHBPP programs.
* Knowledge of the design and presentation of training programs.
* Skills to use a computer with Microsoft Office for data entry, word processing and accounting purposes.
* Skills to use an electronic medical record system.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Skills to operate small office equipment, including a multi-function copy machine, fax machine and multi-line telephone systems.
* Ability to provide excellent customer service.
* Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
* Ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner.
* Ability to travel out of town for training and seminars on occasion.
* Ability to work an after-hours schedule as required.
* Ability to drive to off-site locations including patient homes and meetings within Potter and Randall counties.
* Ability to quickly change focus and priorities to address competing priorities, as necessary.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
