BSA Clinical Nurse Intern Fall

Overview

Join our team as a temporary rotating shift, PRN, Clinical Nurse Intern in Amarillo, TX.

• Responsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
• In addition, performs basic nursing tasks to include patient care, reporting patient conditions and circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness.
• The Clinical intern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit.

Conditions:
May be required to work irregular schedules. Potential exposure to hazard materials/situations includes but is not limited to blood-borne pathogens, ionizing radiation, and communicable diseases.

Job Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in either Amarillo College, West Texas A&M University, or Texas Tech Health Sciences Center's nursing programs.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program with an anticipated program completion within 24 months from the date of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
