We are seeking a compassionate, self-directed Qualified Mental Health Professional or QMHP-CS eligible professional to provide Medicaid-aligned behavioral health services throughout the Amarillo area.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not an employment position.

As a QMHP with McHur Care, you will provide authorized behavioral health services in homes, schools, and approved community settings. Services may include:

• Skills Training and Development
• Targeted Case Management
• Crisis Intervention
• Medication Training and Support
• Bio-psychosocial assessments, when assigned and appropriate
• Crisis and safety planning
• Coordination with caregivers, schools, community partners, and treatment team members
• Timely, accurate progress notes and other Medicaid-required documentation

You will manage your field-based service delivery independently while meeting clinical, documentation, payer, and compliance expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, counseling, human services, or another qualifying related field
• Eligibility to meet Texas QMHP or QMHP-CS requirements
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or families preferred
• Strong written documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in homes, schools, and community settings
• Professional and empathetic communication
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Amarillo and surrounding communities
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are highly valued

Your earnings are driven by approved billable services, documentation quality, and consistent service delivery.

• $25 to $28 per approved billable hour

• Earn an additional $4 to $9 per billable hour based on total monthly billable production
• Total service fees may reach up to $37 per approved billable hour at the highest accelerator tier

Depending on eligibility and the applicable compensation plan, contractors may also qualify for:

• Monthly mileage support ranging from $100 to $800 based on verified eligible business miles
• Up to 45 days of time-limited ramp-up support
• A $50 client recruitment bonus for qualifying new enrollments with confirmed active insurance

Contractor payments are issued semi-monthly:

• Services completed from the 1st through the 15th are paid on the 22nd
• Services completed from the 16th through the end of the month are paid on the 7th

• This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement
• Employee benefits are not provided
• Travel time, administrative work, meetings, and other non-billable activities are not separately compensated unless expressly authorized under the compensation plan or a written statement of work
• Services must be properly documented, coded, and eligible for submission and approval
• Normal commuting miles do not qualify for mileage support
