Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers
- Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital, and one physical therapy center

Responsibilities

The HIM Technician is responsible for managing patient health records in accordance with federal and state regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies. This role supports the accurate collection, analysis, and maintenance of health information to ensure quality patient care, legal compliance, and timely reimbursement.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or HIM setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices.

Preferred

Job Requirements:

• Associate degree in Health Information Technology.
• RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician).
• Completion of an accredited HIM program is desirable.
