Data Analyst, Data Engineer
Position Overview
System One is actively seeking a Data Architect for a permanent position with our client, located in Amarillo, TX. The Data Architect’s primary responsibility is to develop a deep understanding of our business systems and proactively identify opportunities to design and implement scalable solutions. This role supports the Director of Finance in financial analysis, reporting, and system-related initiatives.
Responsibilities- Fully understand the operations of the business and the benefits of our ERP and related systems.
- Support Finance and other departments in realizing the full capabilities of our current system.
- Discover the best way to utilize current modules in SAP B1, advising and supporting optimization efforts to unlock further capabilities.
- Analyze and provide recommendations for new templates, training, and process flows within SAP B1, owning continued development.
- Develop and support data governance reporting, Boyum buttons, and Boyum validation to guide user operations and desired outcomes within the team.
- Lead the team in updating and configuring inventory SKUs and customer master data, developing a more uniform repository and improved reporting structure.
- Design, implement, and support a comprehensive data analytics system, including forward-facing dashboards using Power BI.
- Centralize multiple data sources into one data warehouse.
- Utilize SQL Server or equivalent platforms.
- Schedule and automate data pipelines without disrupting business operations.
- Develop redundancy and data cleanup procedures as needed.
- Support continued operation and system improvements.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting, tailored to roles and permissions.
- Automate data refreshes and workflows to ensure consistent, up-to-date reporting.
- Establish and oversee governance, security, and user access controls.
- Train and update end-users and analysts on Power BI functionalities and best practices.
- Lead the organization in overseeing the Data & IT Roadmap.
- Develop and maintain a process for mapping project scopes to drive effective and efficient system improvements.
- Research, consult, and lead future system implementations, collaborating with third parties and consultants as needed.

BS degree in Business, Management, Finance, Math, Computer Science, or Information Services Management required. Manufacturing experience preferred.
Professional Work Experience5–7 years of data or systems experience in related fields (inventory management/manufacturing preferred). At least 10 years of experience in data analysis. Experience leading a team or large projects.
Technical Skills- Proficient in Microsoft business applications and adaptable to other business systems.
- Experience querying databases and using statistical languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.).
- SAP experience preferred.
- Power BI experience required.
- Occasional travel (as little as one week per year up to a few days per quarter).
- Must possess adequate sight and hearing to perform job functions.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
