Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 495-bed system serving the city of Amarillo and the surrounding region. This role is a Purchasing Assistant who purchases supplies, equipment for hospital departments and the Storeroom/CS inventory.
Responsibilities- Orders requested products from vendors and communicates order status to requesting departments.
- Coordinates with the CPO buyers for final purchase order numbers.
- Monitors backorders and obtains substitutes from other sources in emergency situations.
- Monitors requests for contract compliance, pricing and reduced or free freight.
- Maintains computer files with updated information.
- Assists with vendor program and visitation compliance.

- High School Diploma or GED desired.
- Previous hospital or supply experience preferred.
