Exempt Purpose and Scope The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all supply chain functions including warehouse operations, purchasing and procurement, and inventory management. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials from suppliers to the production floor, supporting on-time delivery and operational excellence across a 100+ person manufacturing environment. The Supply Chain Manager leads a team of warehouse and purchasing personnel and works cross-functionally with production, engineering, and finance to align supply chain activities with company goals.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Oversee all warehouse functions including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and finished goods

Ensure accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments in accordance with production schedules

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with safety standards and regulations

Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities

Manage warehouse staffing, scheduling, and performance, including hiring, training, and coaching warehouse personnel

Oversee the operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment including forklifts and material handling systems

Monitor and report on key warehouse metrics such as receiving accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and dock-to-stock time Purchasing & Procurement Lead the procurement of raw materials, components, and indirect supplies required for manufacturing operations

Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing, lead times, and terms

Evaluate and qualify new vendors, conducting supplier assessments to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance standards are met Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in alignment with production needs

Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies

Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier consolidation

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new product introductions and material change requirements

Maintain up-to-date vendor records, pricing agreements, and procurement documentation

Inventory Management Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods

Establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels and reorder points to prevent shortages and minimize excess stock

Lead cycle count programs and annual physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies

Analyze inventory data and trends to identify areas for reduction, improved turns, and increased efficiency

Partner with production and planning teams to align inventory positions with current and forecasted demand

Implement and maintain inventory management systems and ensure data integrity within the ERP/MRP platform

Manage disposition of obsolete or slow-moving inventory in coordination with finance and operations leadership

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of warehouse operators, buyers, and inventory personnel

Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports

Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and finance to support operational goals and resolve supply chain issues

Provide regular reporting to leadership on supply chain KPIs, cost performance, and risk factors

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain functions using data and industry best practices

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field — or equivalent experience5+ years of supply chain, purchasing, or operations experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Experience in a manufacturing environment required
