St. Mary's Cathedral School is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Custodian to help

maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. The Custodian is

responsible for the routine cleaning and general upkeep of the school and its facilities, including the

classrooms, offices, restrooms, and cafeteria. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is

dependable and trustworthy, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean and respectful

environment appropriate for a Catholic school.

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and other designated areas.
• Perform routine sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and trash removal.
• Keep restrooms and common areas clean and properly stocked.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting or touch-up work.
• Report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to leadership.
• Assist with setting up and putting away tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, and special events.
• Help clean and prepare facilities before and after events.
• Assist with keeping entrances, sidewalks, and other exterior areas clean and free of debris.
• Help ensure the building is properly secure at the end of shifts and events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Previous custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or correlated experience preferred, but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, honest, and trustworthy.
• Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Takes pride in maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Able to follow instructions and use cleaning products and equipment safely.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, moving tables and chairs, occasionally using a ladder.
• Must be able to maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding school activities and information.
