A growing, family-owned organization is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to lead and oversee daily accounting operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes while partnering closely with executive leadership to support business strategy and operational decision-making.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight of all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, and inventory accounting
- Maintain full ownership of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; foster accountability and team growth
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis as needed
- Coordinate with external auditors and support regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger management, and internal controls
- Proficiency in Quick Books
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and drive process improvement
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
