The Manager I (Plant Manager) perform routine (journey-level) technical, managerial, and complex project management work. The Plant Manager is responsible for directing projects and activities of the physical plant of the facility . Work involves planning, coordinating, scheduling, and supervising all facility utility services, grounds and buildings, equipment maintenance and repairs, including small construction projects, vehicle operations, and repairs and maintenance, including replacement scheduling.

The Plant Manager is also responsible for the development of work procedures and performance standards in conformance with administrative and/or professional policies. The Plant Manager is an authority on all applicable codes and regulations including accreditation standards, Fire, Life Safety, Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical. Prepares reports as required .
