Production General Laborer 2nd shift; entry level

Key Duties/Responsibilities

This position will rotate general laborer positions including scaler, block handler, and box runner/taper person for breaks and lunches or as directed.

• Completes tasks for the job that this position is rotating into for a short period of time
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
• Performs other related duties as requested

• Check and adjust box weights as needed
• Ensure plastic liners completely and securely cover the completed care prior to taping
• May conduct box count checks
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and operation.

• Move cases from the pallet to the microwave infeed belt following safe lifting guidelines
• Remove liner and push the block into position to feed grinder

• Responsible for keeping patty stackers supplied with boxes
• Take boxes off of the conveyor and move them to the patty stackers
• Tape full boxes as needed

• Basic math, language, and reading skills
• Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly

• High school diploma preferred

• Ability to maintain a single task focus and situational awareness
• Must be able to move and lift up to 60-pound wooden skid or pallet
• Able to work in a cold refrigerated environment for up to 10 hours.
