SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
: (Summary of job duties)
Responsible for doing various job duties to support the daily production run. Handling components to create finished goods at the rate required for the completion of the production schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, provide guidance to trainees. Use good judgment and common sense while performing duties. Duties immediately directed Supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review daily production schedules and understand work requirements.
- Understand specific product specifications and check that finished product meet the specifications set by the QA department. Inform appropriate parties when problems are encountered.
- Apply appropriate labels to finished packaging and verify code dates.
- Document the vendor lot number of the bags on the packaging log.
- Ensure that the finished products have correct date, label, box, case count, excellent package integrity, free of package leaks, free of cross contamination, finished pallet quantities are accurate, and data is accurately recorded in Navision.
- Ensure that product meets the weight requirements.
- Open, prepare, and inspect raw material for daily production run.
- Ensure that all consumed products meet specifications and are free of cross contamination.
- Load and push cheese products on the line for the cutting process
- Ensure that packaging supplies and department tools are properly stored.
- Ensure that production area is kept clean.
- Discard used packaging materials in an appropriate manner.
- Pack finished product into appropriate packaging.
- Prepare and load materials to discard used corrugated materials.
- Operate compacting equipment to discard used corrugated material.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food safety, safe work practices to protect yourself and others and not engage in unsafe behavior.
- Must attend all department and company required trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
