The Marketing Assistant/Content Marketing Assistant is responsible for creating engaging, brand-aligned content that supports Education Credit Union’s marketing and product initiatives. This entry-level position plays a key role in telling ECU’s stories through digital, social media, video, email, website, and print channels while helping strengthen member engagement and brand awareness. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field is preferred.
The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong writing skills, attention to detail, and a passion for producing content that connects with members and the communities ECU serves. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in the following skills:
Photography, videography, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and Premiere Pro), social media management and experience with Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, and Tik Tok.
- Assist in strategizing, planning, executing, and reporting on integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms.
- Design and edit visual content using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Premiere Pro).
- Capture and create photo and video content for marketing campaigns, events, and member stories.
- Create short-form videos for digital and social media channels.
- Schedule and monitor social media performance of all social media channels with the marketing team and vendors.
- Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all channels.
- Write compelling and accurate copy that aligns with ECU’s brand voice, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives.
- Assist with campaign materials and timelines with internal teams and external vendors.
- Support the marketing team in day-to-day tasks and long-term projects.
- Assist with content requests and project timelines.
- Assist with content coverage of community events, sponsor ships, and organizational announcements.
- Assist with business development efforts such as promo item inventory, preparing promo items for community events, and attending necessary community events.
- Maintains ongoing communications with Management, informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information within area of responsibility.
- Follows safety and security rules and regulations.
- Ensures that all information and transactions regarding credit union operations and members are kept confidential.
- Maintains the security of the work area and keeps it organized and neat in appearance.
- Maintains current knowledge of credit union philosophy, plus all credit union services and policies.
- Maintains a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow employees, members, management staff, board members, and outside vendors.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Adheres to ECU Employee Personnel Policy and Guidelines Handbook.
- Promotes and maintains a positive image of ECU to Staff, Members and the community.
