The Recruitment Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of all volunteer recruitment strategies for CASA. The Recruitment Director leads efforts to identify, cultivate, and recruit qualified volunteer advocates in support of CASA’s vision of serving every child in care with a trained, court-appointed volunteer advocate. This position provides strategic leadership for recruitment, community outreach, marketing, and volunteer pipeline development, and works closely with the Executive Director, Chief Program Officer, and Board of Directors to ensure recruitment goals align with organizational priorities.

Recruitment
  • Will be required to attend and complete the volunteer pre-service training as well as complete 12 hours of continuing education per year (to include but not limited to: conferences, Café CASA, workshops offered in the community and CASA College).
  • Develop and implement an annual recruitment plan aligned with CASA’s strategic goals and service targets.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics, including inquiry-to-training conversion, volunteer retention, and diversity outcomes, and provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Identify new and innovative recruitment strategies to expand the volunteer pipeline.
  • Actively engage and cultivate all prospective CASA volunteer advocates through in person visits, telephone calls, and presentations.
  • Use social media as requested to reach potential CASA volunteers and engage the community.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Chief Program Officer in the development of cohesive recruitment marketing materials.
  • Organize and facilitate all recruitment events.
  • Field requests for speakers and booths, taking primary responsibility for ensuring all are covered.
  • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities and ensure timely follow-up on all recruitment opportunities.
  • Work with the media to promote community awareness of the CASA mission.
  • Research sources for prospective volunteers in an effort to broaden the public’s awareness of the CASA mission and diversify CASA’s recruitment activities.
  • Maintain CASA’s volunteer database to track all prospective volunteers, referral source, and cultivation progress.
  • Report milestones of targeted recruitment goals as requested or required.
  • Follow up with all volunteer inquiries according to policy.
  • Coordinate with program and training staff to ensure smooth transition of applicants from recruitment to screening, interview, and training.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Chief Program Officer in establishing performance measurements for all recruitment activities and evaluate the effectiveness and results for each activity annually.
  • Maintains the program’s website.

  • Will required to work evenings and weekends on a flexible schedule
  • Will require travel specifically to outlying counties. Travel expenses will be paid as authorized by the Board of directors and in accordance with the budget.

    Salary set and administered by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
