About the Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical Unit provides direct and individualized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.

The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, monitoring vital signs, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and responding to emergencies.

The RN will document care using Epic and may be required to float to units of equal or lesser acuity.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 1 year inpatient Med/Surg experience

Charting System:
Epic (recent experience within 6 months required)

Certifications:

BLS required

Skills:

Cardiac monitoring & emergency response

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Isolation precautions

Peripheral line care/management

Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Days & Nights)
