• Nurse‑to‑Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4–1:6 (may be up to 1:6)
• Interdisciplinary Support: IV team, PT, respiratory, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation
• Pay Rate: $0/hr

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state/compact accepted per facility policy)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred/may be required based on unit needs
• EMR: Epic EMR experience required
• Travel Radius: Must live at least 50 miles from the assignment location (no local candidates)
• Scheduling: Ability to work weekends and follow unit scheduling practices
• Time Off: Up to 3 RTO days may be auto‑approved; no RTO on holidays

• Deliver safe, high‑quality bedside nursing care for Med/Surg and intermediate‑care patients (adult and geriatric)
• Complete comprehensive assessments, develop/update nursing care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Perform core Med/Surg RN skills: IV starts/maintenance, PICC care, central line blood draws, blood product administration, heparin/insulin protocols, oxygen therapy, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Monitor for changes in condition and elevate appropriately, utilizing rapid response/code teams when indicated
• Care for post‑op and medical patients with needs such as renal failure, CVA/stroke, wound care/wound vacs, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and telemetry/remote monitoring as assigned
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic and communicate clearly with providers and the interdisciplinary care team
• Coordinate timely, patient‑centered care and safe transitions/discharge planning with ancillary departments
