Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse - Home Visits

Position Overview

Per Diem Mobile Research Nurse – a registered nurse who works independently on a per‑diem basis, supporting decentralized mobile clinical nurse services in Science 37’s Nursing Solutions Group.

• Provide research nurse services to qualified study participants at home.
• Apply clinical research and nursing practices to develop solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with Lead and Per Diem Mobile Research Nurses on solutioning, education, and resource support.
• Participate in operational development of Science 37 nursing service delivery.
• Develop relationships with study team members and serve as subject‑matter expert on all nursing processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned within evolving study needs.

• Full COVID vaccination strongly preferred; follows CDC guidelines.
• Active RN license in home state and eligibility for compact licensure.
• Minimum of 2+ years clinical/research experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Physical ability to lift equipment up to 15 kg.
• Availability: minimum 1–2 days per week dedicated to study visits; weekday/night hours required.
• Willingness to travel to participants’ homes and up to 100% travel as needed for study participation, team meetings, and conferences.
• Familiarity with technology for patient assessment and documentation (laptop, communication devices, tablets).
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

• Proactive, autonomous, and able to integrate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Adaptability to decentralized care delivery models.
• Ability to obtain nursing license in multiple states based on study needs.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Commitment to professional representation in participants’ homes or clinic settings.

Compensation varies by location and work performed. The starting pay is generally in the range of $50–$55 per hour, with potential discretionary bonuses and commissions. Actual pay may be above or below this range based on qualifications and experience.
