Job Title

Provision Of Services/Care StandardsDevelops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care utilizing the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education. Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources, as needed. Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees. Assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved standards, as outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies.

QualificationsGraduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s). BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas. De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintaining Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.
ACCS:
Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting. CCRN, TNCC and Cardiovascular certification preferred for specialty units. 100% score on medication test – employee will have two chances to pass exam with remediation material available. ACLS completion within three (3) months after hire or promotion. Must pass EKG, Blood Gas Analysis and BKAT exam with a score of 85% upon completion of didactic/computer orientation program – employee will have two chances to pass exams with remediation material available.
Satisfactory return demonstration of competencies required for critical care specific processes and equipment. Employment is dependent on passing above exams and competencies. Experienced critical care nurses may test out of didactic/computer orientation with a score of 85% on the Blood Gas Analysis and BKAT exam.
