Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. • Develop, implement, and evaluate an age‑appropriate plan of care utilizing the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education.
• Maintain professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources as needed.
• Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
• Assess risks to patient safety and implement appropriate precautions.
• Comply with approved standards, as outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies.
• Comply with safety and injury prevention standards to minimize risk to self, co‑workers, patients, and visitors, relying on the patient‑centered care delivery model.

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
• Must pass any pre‑employment assessment(s).
• BLS certification and maintain throughout employment.
• Current Texas state nursing license or permit.
• De‑escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• Ongoing compliance with clinically pertinent competencies.

• L&D experience preferred.
• BLS certification upon hire until NRP and ACLS are obtained.
• NRP within 3 months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
• ACLS within 3 months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
• AWHONN Basic Fetal Monitoring completed within 90 days.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire.
• AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring alternating every 2 years.
• HROB – Advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN) required and must be maintained while active on the HROB team.
