POSITION SUMMARYProvides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care form the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and evaluate an age‑appropriate plan of care utilizing the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education.
- Maintain professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources as needed.
- Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
- Assess risks to patient safety and implement appropriate precautions.
- Comply with approved standards, as outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies.
- Comply with safety and injury prevention standards to minimize risk to self, co‑workers, patients, and visitors, relying on the patient‑centered care delivery model.

Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- Must pass any pre‑employment assessment(s).
- BLS certification and maintain throughout employment.
- Current Texas state nursing license or permit.
- De‑escalation training within 90 days of hire.
- Ongoing compliance with clinically pertinent competencies.
- L&D experience preferred.
- BLS certification upon hire until NRP and ACLS are obtained.
- NRP within 3 months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
- ACLS within 3 months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
- AWHONN Basic Fetal Monitoring completed within 90 days.
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire.
- AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring alternating every 2 years.
- HROB – Advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN) required and must be maintained while active on the HROB team.
