Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

Texas Oncology is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Oncology Department at the Amarillo, TX location. This is a full-time Monday–Friday position (8:30 am‑5:00 pm) with no weekend, call, or major holiday shifts.

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess patient health status, interview patients and review medical history.
• Provide teaching and instructional material to patients and families.
• Offer psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage medication refill requests and record them in the patient chart.
• Schedules consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests, referrals, and future appointments.
• Triage patient phone calls and document relevant information in the chart.
• Facilitate communication between patient/family and the interdisciplinary team and coordinate related services.
• Assist patients in locating community resources.
• Collaborate inter‑professionally and act as a resource for LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• Current RN state license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.

Requires full range of motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing, walking for extended periods, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing required.
