Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Level III NICU in NW Texas​/New grads at Universal

Position Overview

Texas Tech Health Sciences Center University in Amarillo, Department of Pediatrics is recruiting a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to work in our practice in the Level III NICU at Northwest Children’s Hospital in Amarillo, TX.

• 35‑bed Level III NICU, average daily census 23‑25
• 24‑hour shifts with a second NNP on day shift
• Average seven 24‑hour shifts per month
• Eligibility to attend high‑risk deliveries as assigned
• Procedures: intubation, UVC, UAC, and PICC line insertion
• Collaborate with Neonatologists, Pediatric Hospitalists, residents, and medical students as assigned
• May serve on quality‑control or other administrative committees

• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
• New NP graduates considered if 3+ years NICU nursing experience
• Graduate of an approved, accredited nursing program
• Current Texas APRN license with certification as Neonatal NP, or ability to obtain one
• Board certification
• Ability to follow care directives of physicians
