American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:30), with 36 or 48 hour options
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provides care involving isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory support with nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience required
• Epic charting experience required within 6 months of start

• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Non-billable orientation modules completed onsite, averaging 4-6 hours for RNs
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius as local candidates are not accepted
• Former staff must have been separated from facility employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
