TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.

On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Performs manual work in the care and maintenance of groundsincluding the care and maintenance of plants, shrubs, lawns, andthe installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems. This job hasno supervisory responsibilities.

• Utilize push mower on steep incline
• Operates various types of mobile equipment such as tractors,mowers, Rota-vators, and edgers.
• Cuts lawns. Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, andwalls.
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.
• Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, andinsecticides.
• Rakes and bags leaves.
• Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Shovels snow from walks and driveways.
• Spreads salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
• Waters lawn and shrubs.
• Repairs fences, gates, walls, and walks.
• Paints fences and outbuildings.
• Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
• Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, andshears.
• Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawnmowers, spreaders,and snow removal equipment.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs signs, fences, barricades, and sprinkler systems.

High School or equivalent required;
Knowledge of lawn tools,operation, and maintenance. One (1) year of experience in grounds maintenance including experience in equipment operations.

At least one year of commercial mowing and landscapingexperience.
