Position Summary
As a Team Leader at Sam’s Club, you’ll deliver exceptional member service, support your associates, manage inventory and safety, and drive continuous improvement. Your focus is maintaining a welcoming store environment while ensuring compliance with Walmart's standards.
What You’ll Do- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, and offering guidance on self‑service technology, purchasing decisions, merchandise location, and issue resolution.
- Supervise associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and supporting the Open Door Policy through recruitment, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluation.
- Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors, organize the sales floor, and complete required documentation.
- Maintain store safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous material disposal procedures, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Maintain merchandise presentation, handle claims and returns, zone and stock merchandise, set up product displays, remove damaged goods, price items, identify shrink and protect fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
- Monitor product quality, ensure proper rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation standards, and keep all departments clean and organized.
- Oversee picking and staging of club pick‑up orders, ensuring products are selected and staged per company policy.
- Develop and communicate processes to meet business needs, collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners, analyze information, monitor progress, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Promote compliance with policies, procedures, and ethics standards by explaining and modeling how to apply them, and assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
- Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating assignments, providing feedback, ensuring timelines and quality, and helping others adapt to change.

CompensationThe hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months retail experience AND 6 months customer service experience.
- Leadership and supervision experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
