Join Albertsons Companies as an Assistant Service Operations Manager. In this role you will maintain front‑end productivity, guest satisfaction, and compliance with store policies, stepping in for upper management when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Acknowledge, greet, and engage every guest entering your area or department.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of all front‑end staff, including service counters, bookkeepers, maintenance, fuel clerks, floral clerks, checkers, and sackers.
- Help manage all Service Counter functions and coordinate scheduling with the Grocery Manager.
- Conduct initial interviews and new‑team‑member orientations, handling necessary paperwork.
- Supervise and ensure correct checking, bagging, and bookkeeping procedures.
- Order supplies for front‑end maintenance and coordinate needs with the Grocery Manager.
- Carry out performance evaluations and coaching sessions for team members.
- Provide general store information to Spirit and Spirit Too publications and support public‑relations initiatives.
- Administer payroll and accounting procedures where required.
- Delegate and assign trainers as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the entire front‑end, including check stands, floors, exterior front of store, and parking lot.
- In the absence of a Talent Relations Manager, serve as the human‑resource manager for hiring, training, and orientation objectives.
- Safeguard, control, and monitor all store assets, enforcing control policies.
- Support overall guest and team‑member safety.
- Greet and speak politely with every customer on premises.
- Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Work 40 hours per week, including openings, closings, and day shifts.
- Maintain a Certified Food Safety Manager certification.
- Minimum one year of store experience.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 6 hours.
- Perform bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking as required.
- Work effectively as a team member and cooperate with others.
