Position ObjectiveThe Sales Lead is responsible for promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture. The role supports management to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability, while reinforcing the company’s values and guiding principles across all store operations.
Functional Responsibilities Drive for Results- Establish and communicate clear expectations, holding the store team and themselves accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Perform and oversee basic operational activities such as opening and closing duties and merchandise flow processes.
- Supervise associates involved in sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, or customer services and use weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines.
- Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by management.
- Develop a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals and meeting personal sales goals.
- Train and coach to ensure the selling team is fluent in product knowledge online and in store.
- Assist with locate fulfillment and selling coaching.
- Motivate and inspire the store team, promoting a shared vision while modeling core values.
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Communicate with store teams and store management to lead positive change.
- Seek personal developmental opportunities and solicit feedback to build leadership skill sets.
- Model, teach, and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, offering a cohesive omni‑channel experience.
- Model sales expectations by utilizing various techniques and communicating product knowledge to the customer; recommend merchandise selections or help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
- Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobe.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns.
- Ensure a fast and efficient register experience, remaining current on policies regarding payments, coupon acceptance, returns, exchanges, security practices, and other applicable operations.
- Ensure the team maintains consistent client communication through the use of customer books, rewards program participation, and customer capture sign‑up.
- Support, implement, and provide follow‑up for all training programs, seminars, etc.
- Assist in the development of store associates; interpret key performance indicator reports and deliver coaching as needed; provide feedback to the store manager for associate performance appraisals and evaluations.
- Drive associate and team engagement by recognizing and rewarding employees for outstanding performance.
- Ensure the store team adheres to all employment practices and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with customers.
- Regular attendance is essential; ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Constant walking/standing – 67‑100% of an 8‑hour shift.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. – 1‑33% of an 8‑hour shift.
- Frequent climbing – 34‑66% of an 8‑hour shift.
