Branch Manager SUMMARY
The Branch Manager is responsible for driving sales and leading a team of outside account representatives to drive growth within a defined territory. The role creates business and territory plans, analyzes sales pipelines, ensures a high level of customer service, and generates sales individually and through the leadership of others. The Branch Manager is responsible for hiring, coaching, and training direct reports.
JOBDUTIES
- Leads a team of outside account representatives to promote and sell products and services within a defined geography.
- Analyzes sales pipeline and maintains opportunities to ensure sales goals are achieved.
- Develops and implements an annual business plan supporting attainment of quota and market share growth, and updates it monthly or quarterly.
- Creates a holistic territory plan and manages the net new sales process from prospecting to close.
- Owns prospecting strategy, forecasting, funnel development and management, territory development and closes deals within assigned geography.
- Ensures a high level of customer service, including onsite technical assistance and resolution of delivery and product troubleshooting.
- Develops and maintains consultative sales relationships with key buying influences at all levels within customer organizations.
- Identifies and solicits new business and assigns accounts to appropriate representatives.
- Handles hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and training of employees.
- Reviews financial packages monthly with the Operations Manager to ensure branches meet profit goals.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES- Persuasive communication skills: verbal, written and presentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Specialty product knowledge from previous outside or inside sales experience.
- Skillful prospecting and use of consultative selling principles.
- Exceptional drive and passion for results.
- Strong client service relationship‑building skills.
- Negotiation and closing proficiency.
- Ability to coach and provide feedback to direct reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
May be required to be on‑call on nights or weekends, depending on need.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS- Excellent driving record required.
- All company vehicles are subject to continuous video monitoring.
Direct reports: 0‑5. Indirect reports: 5‑10.
