Responsibilities- Keep the company growing by identifying new sales opportunities, emerging markets, and lead generation programs
- Set our sales strategies and sales objectives to achieve our sales goals
- Lead our sales team by setting a sales plan for each sales representative, identifying individual sales targets, assigning sales territories, and overseeing training programs to make sure they’re successful
- Build and foster strong customer relationships and handle complaints to ensure their needs are met and keep their business
- Evaluate the team’s sales performance and offer advice on continuous improvement
- Prospect and develop new business through outside sales calls, networking, referrals, and community involvement
- Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate, negotiated, group, extended stay, and local accounts
- Conduct hotel tours, client presentations, and site inspections
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and negotiate business opportunities
- Partner with the Director of Sales and Revenue Management to identify revenue opportunities
- Maintain accurate account information, sales activities, and pipeline management within CRM systems
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and contribute ideas to improve hotel performance
- Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and community organizations
- Build strong relationships with Operations to ensure clients receive exceptional service before, during, and after their stay
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and local demand generators
- Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major
- Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills
- At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department
- Previous hotel sales, hospitality, or business development experience preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self‑motivated with a competitive drive to achieve goals
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Comfortable networking and developing business in the local community
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
