Job Summary

The Technician II – Security (also known as Technician II Security) position will provide efficient and high‑quality installations of commercial integrated security systems for a mission‑critical data center project in Amarillo, TX. Responsibilities include performing startup, installation, closeout, and service of jobs, assisting with design and other tasks, and delivering on Bosch Building Technologies commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, and test equipment per specifications and building or electrical codes.
  • Train apprentices on company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Lead Technicians to ensure complete system compliance during startup.
  • Communicate daily with the Installation Supervisor about delays, requirements, and general status of jobs to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Work with the Installation Supervisor to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department.
  • Repair, restore, and test all systems per specifications and codes.
  • Maintain accurate written records, submitted on time and complete.
  • Maintain professional licensing as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
  • Work at required heights using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other equipment, and in confined spaces as necessary.
  • Shift work may be required as needed, including significant overtime.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment screening.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in Security Systems Integration.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Aptitude for learning system programming.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (2 year) in a technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Security Systems Integration in commercial settings.
  • Proficiency in hand and power tool operations and safety.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member.
  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
  • Limited Energy Journey Technician Certificate.
Additional Information
  • Working Hours: 6/6/5 schedule – two weeks of six 10‑hour days (Mon – Sat) followed by one week of five 10‑hour days (Mon – Fri), with overtime expected and a possible one‑week break.
  • Relocation Assistance or Sign‑on Bonus: Option (DOE).
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal, on‑site only.
