Talon/LPE is hiring a Fleet Mechanic II in Amarillo, TX! If you're a hands-on professional with a passion for solving problems, staying safe, and keeping a high-performance fleet running at its best—we want you on our team.

As a Fleet Mechanic II, you’ll be a go-to expert for preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment. From routine service checks to in-the-field fixes, your skills will keep our operations running strong. What You’ll Do:
  • Perform safety inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair gasoline and diesel engines, trailers, and heavy machinery.
  • Source parts, maintain repair records, and coordinate with the Director of Fleet and Regional Managers.
  • Respond to urgent repairs, sometimes outside normal business hours or in the field.
  • Follow all Company policies and safety protocols—you’ll set the standard.
What You Bring:
  • 4+ years of hands-on mechanic experience with fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Certifications for inspection and repair of DOT-regulated vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines.
  • Valid Driver’s License + your own tools/tool storage.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in varying weather, and pass all pre-employment screenings.
  • Basic computer/diagnostic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Work Environment &

Schedule:
  • Occasional travel to job sites or other Talon/LPE facilities required.
