Position OverviewFiber Technician
Essential Job Functions- Install and troubleshoot all Metro Net services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
- Provide in‑depth customer education on all Metro Net products and services.
- Earning commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to customers.
- Maintain professional conduct with customers and fellow associates.
- Work toward meeting key performance metrics.
- Other job‑related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with a telecom/fiber company is preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including attics, crawl spaces, and adverse weather.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
- Able to lift and carry loads of up to 75 lbs, including a ladder.
- Ability to work with basic hand tools and specialized equipment with training.
- Operate and maintain company vehicle/equipment safely and professionally.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Willingness to work as a team and independently.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Requirements
- Perform on‑call rotation duties after regular business hours.
- Availability to work overtime, including holidays and weekends.
- Availability to travel for training or as needed.
