Electrical Superintendent - Per Diem Offered
Amarillo, Texas
Trillium Construction is now hiring an Electrical Superintendent in Amarillo, TX.
Our client specializes in electrical construction and they are now hiring for an Electrical Superintendent for a long term contracted role in Amarillo, TX for a 3-story pet hospital project. This position pays up to $50/hr plus a daily per diem of $100 paid 5 days a week.
Primary Responsibilities- Supervise and lead the electrical crew on the 3-story pet hospital project.
- Provide daily direction and assignments to electricians and apprentices.
- Work hands-on alongside the crew and perform electrical installation as required.
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly electrical work activities.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-lines, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
- Coordinate electrical work with the General Contractor, project management, other subcontractors, and other trades.
- Ensure electrical installations are completed according to plans, specifications, project requirements, and applicable electrical codes.
- Perform and oversee electrical layout, installation, troubleshooting, and quality control.
- Monitor crew productivity and progress against the project schedule.
- Coordinate manpower and work sequencing with the overall construction schedule.
- Identify material, manpower, scheduling, and constructability issues and communicate them to project management.
- Coordinate electrical work with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, low-voltage, and other trades.
- Review field conditions and identify potential conflicts before they impact the schedule.
- Assist with RFIs, plan discrepancies, and field coordination issues.
- Ensure work is properly prepared for inspections.
- Monitor the quality of completed electrical work and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
- Enforce company and project safety requirements.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and project coordination meetings as required.
- Communicate daily progress, manpower requirements, material needs, schedule concerns, and field issues to management.
- Mentor and develop electricians and apprentices.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the GC, inspectors, project management, and other subcontractors.
- Take ownership of the electrical installation and provide strong field leadership throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
- Current TDLR Journeyman Electrician card/license – REQUIRED.
- Strong commercial electrical construction experience.
- Previous experience leading an electrical crew as a Foreman, Lead Electrician, Superintendent, or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise electricians and apprentices.
- Must be willing and able to work hands-on alongside the electrical crew.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safe work practices.
- Ability to coordinate work with a General Contractor and multiple trades.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve field issues quickly and effectively.
- Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance throughout the project.
